About

In November 2015, I was a newly certified Physician Assistant with 1 year of experience under my belt. I was living a good life, finally getting my bearings and a steady, satisfactory paycheck. My first year was over, and I was finally getting my finances in order and settling in in a new city. That was until panic set in that I had to accumulate 200 credits of CME in the upcoming year! Along with planning a moving across country, planning a wedding, getting married, honeymooning, buying a house and a car, and trying not to lose my mind. Not to mention, trying to decipher the new 10-year cycle NCCPA guidelines that seem to be written in a strange code.? I tried to search for good conferences that would earn me CME credit quickly and affordably.

I searched for a website that would have all the CME opportunities I could possibly need in one place. Time and time again, I opened my browser at work in between patients and just could not find a good source. Some sites offered all online CME, some sites were for private hospital conferences, some sites only for board reviews. I like to travel, and I wanted to be able to see CME opportunities all across the country in various specialties.

That’s when I decided to compile all the CME activities that applied to physician assistants, and CMEforPA was born. I hope you find it as useful as I have.

Goals for 2016
We strive to make this website user friendly and truly useful! We plan to open a forum where PAs can discuss the best (and worst) conferences they’ve been to, the perks they’ve discovered, and other helpful hints for fellow PAs. We’d also love to serve as a place where PAs can connect across the country!
